Who We Are
Peel Cheshire Homes Inc. was incorporated in 1976 and is a non-profit charitable organization located in Streetsville, Ontario
Cheshire House is affiliated with the Leonard Cheshire Global Alliance, started in 1948 by Group Captain Leonard Cheshire in the United Kingdom. Cheshire has become a worldwide movement, helping disabled individuals in over 54 countries.
Peel Cheshire Homes Inc. serves a need in the community for housing and support services for disabled adults in a congregate setting.
In the past few years Cheshire House, has celebrated many successes both internally and externally in the community. Internally, Cheshire House has, for the second time, achieved a 3-year accreditation status.
Externally there have been successes in terms of reaching out into the community for aid and awareness.
MISSION
Our Mission is to provide an alternative housing opportunity, and services, to adults with physical disabilities and brain injuries.
We will encourage and support Residents to achieve their full potential, while respecting their unique personalities, preferences, strengths and abilities.
